IMPORTANT NOTE:
In order for you to Referee in 2010, all coaches must:
AYSO is a 100% volunteer organization so without Referees the games cannot be played. If this is your first year or your fifteenth year as a referee we want to thank you for your dedication to the kids. We need to ensure that everyone fills out a new volunteer form and goes through the Safe Haven class (for your protection) and that all Referees are aware of the law changes in effect. Returning referees need not attend the Safe Haven class again; however, your volunteer form needs to be resigned each season. Please check for the Returning Referee Class or the Referee Clinics for the new referees in our calendar.
****You must be an AYSO certified referee in order to referee an AYSO soccer match.****
Referee Clinics:
-----------------
What clinic should you attend?
For U6 and under: No referee required
U8,U10 and U12 games: You need to attend the "Regional Referee Clinic". We will assign a mentor at the
completion of this course to help you through your first few games. This is a 9 hour clinic
U14 through U19 games: Referees for these games are scheduled from a group of experienced, Regional, Intermediate, Advanced and National referees. For clinics to upgrade your level, please check the calendar, or go to the area 12 website identified in the useful links section of our website and open the referee section.
Remember Referees make it FUN, FAIR and SAFE!
