Short sided play: AYSO requires all children under the age of 12 play short sided games. AYSO believes that short sided games allow the kids more attention from the coaches, more touches on the ball, more playing time, and an increased potential in development of skills. U6 and under play 3 on 3, U8 play 5 on 5, U10 play 7 on 7, and U12 play 9 on 9. This program is consistent throughout all AYSO regions throughout the U.S, and is also enforced at our National Games. U14-U19 Program: For our older divisions ages 12-18, we have a wonderful program in place that uses the full team (11 v 11) format. There is some traveling to play other regions within the Mesa area, but an equal number of games are played at our home location. Our coaches are extremely qualified. Coaches are required to complete the appropriate Intermediate/Advanced level coaching course to ensure the children at this level are being coached appropriately. Skill requirements and physicality increase with their age, and we recognize those changes and tailor our program to continue in their development. |

VIP Program: We are excited to announce that the VIP program is now available within our region. This is our first year in providing this program, and we are trained and prepared to embrace this wonderful opportunity. The AYSO VIP Program provides a quality soccer experience for children and adults whose physical or mental disabilities make it difficult to successfully participate on mainstream teams. VIP teams include children with the following concerns: Blind or visually impaired, Amputees or those with conditions that impair mobility, mentally or emotionally challenged, Autistic, Down Syndrome or Cerebral Palsy. The VIP program offers acceptance and carries our philosophy of Everyone Plays® to new heights - giving everyone a chance to play. For more on the VIP program you can click here for our local registration information or the VIP icon for our national VIP information.. |

Players who participated in regular season play are eligible to be a part of the tournament team through scheduled tryouts and evaluations. Those selected to the team compete against other regions within our area, and occasionally out of town. For more information, click on the Tournament icon. |
